Intuition. Research. Experimentation.
Eva is the origin. The foundations on which Kinilū developed.
Eva is a challenge, proof that we had found a unique and different way to lighten and decorate.
Eva is inspiration, energy, will to achieve something that will outlast fashions and seasons.
Drawing a sketch on a sheet of paper might seem easy; but going from theory to practice is a different story. The first version of Eva was fitted with a low consumption light bulb, there was no protective coating over the polystyrene but a lot of colour. We spent hours trying to achieve a perfect circle.
How did it go? We didn’t get the result we wanted. But difficulties and mistakes served as an incentive to try again and push forward.
Every mistake was followed by an improvement, and eventually we reached the result we were aiming for. A contrast of elements that together work perfectly. Fragility and resistance. Lightness and solidity.
Eva, the first woman, the mother of ideas, possibilities and movement. Because nothing reveals more than movement does.
